Honoring the Fallen

 
The GOLDSTARS Tribute Wall will be in Mineola August 6-9, 2021.  The Wall honors our fallen heroes from the Gulf War, Iraq War and the Afghanistan War.  The Wall Display will be located in downtown Mineola on West Commerce Street near the Veterans Memorial and Gazebo area.  The schedule for the Display is:
 
Friday, August, 6,  7 - 9 pm

Saturday, August 7,  8 am - 9 pm

Sunday, August 8,  8 am - 9 pm

Monday, August 9,  7 am - 9 pm

August 7, at 10 am
An Honor Ceremony will be held to honor the fallen and to pay respect to their Gold Star Families.

August 8, at 1 pm
Quilts of Valor Foundation will be wrapping several veterans in handmade quilts. For more information please go to the Quilts of Valor Foundation.  
 
August 9 at Noon
The Walk for Wood County Veterans will begin at noon at the Wall Display.  The Walk will end on August 10 at American Legion Post 340 in Winnsboro.  For more information about the Walk, contact John Ring, 912-272-9347.
